Mrs. Jennie Watson, age 91, one of Farmington's oldest citizens was called by death, Jan. 26 1959 at 8:30 A.M. in Sanford hospital. The cause of death was cancer and she was seriously ill for a week.
Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmington Methodist church, with Rev. Charles Nelson officiating. Mrs. Nelson rendered organ music.
Burial was in Corinthian cemetery with the following pallbearers:

Jennie Norton was born in a log cabin at Jordan, Minnesota, March 1, 1867, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Norton. Seh was united in marriage with Frank Watson 72 years ago in Dakota County and they have lived at Farmington most of the time since then.
Survivors are one son

Preceding Mrs. Watson in death were her husband; one son John; two daughters, Mildred Bunce and Orinda, age 10.

Mrs. Watson was a devoted mother and centered her affections on her home and family. She was a member of the Methodist church and her hobbies were rug making, gardening and raising flowers.
